A man who leaned over and kissed his girlfriend before exiting his vehicle to surrender at the conclusion of a high-speed chase had his case bound over to the grand jury Tuesday.

Elisa James Jenkins is charged with reckless driving, felony evading arrest, misuse of registration, speeding 70/45, and violations of the registration, insurance, seatbelt and traffic device laws.

Jenkins was arrested on Aug. 13 by Cannon County Sheriff's Deputy Travis Turney following a pursuit which began on Hollow Springs Road, preceded onto Rogers Road, before ending on Jim Cummings Highway.

Some of the results of other cases heard Tuesday by Judge Susan Melton and Judge Pro-tem Tommy Bray included:

Betty Jean Olson pled guilty to DUI 1st offense. She was given a partially-suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days, ordered to serve 48 hours in the Cannon County Jail and perform 24 hours community service, fined $350, assessed court costs and her driver's license was revoked for one year.

Joshua Lee Underwood pled guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia. He was given a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and placed on probation for an equal amount of time. He was also fined $150 and assessed court costs.

Robyn Alesha Wilmoth agreed to revocation on charges of violation of probation and she was placed on state probation for 27 months, 9 days. She also pled guilty to driving while license suspended and was placed on state probation for 10 months, 12 days. Wilmoth also pled guilty to joyriding and was placed on probation for 11 months, 29 days. She was ordered to pay court costs on all three convictions.

Melody Beth Haley entered into an agreed order of retirement on a charge of domestic assault. The case was continued for 11 months, 29 days subject to good and lawful conduct. She was also ordered to pay the litigation tax.

James L. Karschner entered into an agreed order of retirement on a charge of domestic assault. The case was continued for 11 months, 29 days subject to good and lawful conduct. He was also ordered to pay the litigation tax and to not have contact with the victim or victim's family.

Sherry Annette Nicholas entered into an agreed order of retirement on a charge of domestic assault. The case was continued for 11 months, 29 days subject to good and lawful conduct. She was also ordered to pay the litigation tax and to not have contact with the victim or victim's family.

Terry Brian Tramel admitted to guilt and entered into an agreed order of retirement for 11 months, 29 days on two counts of criminal trespass, subject to good and lawful conduct. He must pay court costs and to stay away from the premises where the offenses occurred.

Jack Robert Peters admitted to guilt to the charge of aggravated criminal trespass. He entered into an agreed order of retirement for 11 months, 29 days subject to good and lawful conduct. He was ordered to pay the litigation tax and to not have contact with the victim or go on the victim's property.

James Matthew Beecham, charged with violation of probation, was remanded to the custody of the Cannon County Sheriff's Department after failing a drug screen. His next court appearance is Oct. 11.

Brittany Nicole Keyt, charged with violation of probation, 1st offense, was remanded to the custody of the Cannon County Sheriff's Department after failing a drug screen. Her case was reset for Sept. 27.

Jennifer Lee Deese pled guilty to driving on a suspended license. A sentencing hearing was set for Dec. 20.

Sheenia Lee Grant pled guilty to driving without a license, was given 30-days probation, fined $2 and assessed court costs.

Danny Ray Graves agreed to revocation on a charge of violation of probation. He was sentenced to serve 14 days in the Cannon County Jail. His probation was extended for 11 months, 15 days.

Tabithal L. Gray pled guilty to driving on a suspended license. Sentencing was set for Dec. 27.

Wesley Jacob Hayes entered into an agreed order of retirement on a charge of joyriding. The case was continued for 11 months, 29 days subject to good and lawful conduct. He was also ordered to pay the litigation tax.

Edgar Adrian Hernandez pled guilty to driving without a license. He was placed on probation for 30 days, fined $2 and assessed court costs.

Amanda Marie Hilton pled guilty to driving without a license. She was placed on probation for 30 days, fined $2 and assessed court costs.

Pamela Diane Lafever agreed to revocation on a charge of violation of probation, 1st offense and was ordered to serve 7 days in the Cannon County Jail.

Teresa Darlene Lester pled guilty to driving without a license. She was placed on probation for 30 days, fined $2 and assessed court costs.

James Bradley Lynch agreed to revocation on a charge of violation of probation, 1st offense, three counts. His probation was extended 29 months, 28 days.

Adam Wayne McClure pled guilty to attempted theft of property over $500. He was given a partially suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days, ordered to serve 45 days in the Cannon County Jail, and was placed on probation for 10 months, 14 days.

Tonya McClure pled guilty to driving without a license. She was placed on probation for 30 days, fined $2 and assessed court costs.

Cory Scott McNeese pled guilty to driving on a revoked license 1st offense. He was fined $50, assessed court costs, placed on probation for 6 months and had his driver's license was suspended.

Cody Ray Parsley pled guilty to driving on a revoked license. He was fined $50, assessed court costs, placed on probation for 6 months and had his driver's license was suspended.

Alejandro Rivera  pled guilty to driving without a license. He was placed on probation for 30 days, fined $2 and assessed court costs.

Lisa Dawn Shikles pled guilty to driving on a suspended license. Sentencing was set for Dec. 27.

Michael Shane Thomas pled guilty to driving without a license. He was fined $2, assessed court costs, and placed on probation for 30 days. A charge of violation of the financial responsibility law was reset for Nov. 1.

Patsy Ann Whitaker agreed to revocation on a charge of violation of probation. Her probation was extended for 10 months, 19 days.

Kathryn Elizabeth York admitted to guilt and entered into an agreed order of retirment on the charge of violation of the 18-20 consumption law for 11 months, 29 days, subject to good and lawful conduct. She was also ordered to pay costs and probation fees.

Aaron Vincent Moon, charged with driving on a revoked license and violation of probation, failed to appear.

Debbie Kronnick, charged with driving on a suspended license, failed to appear.

Jose Emigdio Velasco, charged with no driver’s license, failed to appear.

Jim Alan Morris, charged with being an unlicensed driver, failed to appear.

Lori Salser Farmer, charged with driving on a suspended license, failed to appear.

Bryan Christopher Tate, charged with driving on a suspended license, failed to appear.

Russell Dale Walls, charged with DUI, driving on a suspended license, violation of the implied consent law, violation of the financial responsibility law and violation of the light law, was reset for Oct. 25.

Clayton Thomas Adams, charged with driving on a revoked license, was reset for Oct. 25.

Tony Ray Bain, charged with driving while license revoked, was reset for Oct. 25.

Kenneth Dee Barrett, charged with DUI 1st offense, violation of the financial responsibility law and violation of the open container law was reset for Oct. 25 after he was appointed the public defender and assessed a $25 administrative fee.

Micah Steffen Blair, charged with manufacture of methamphetamine, initiation of the process of manufacture methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a revoked license, public intoxication, violation of probation (1st and 2nd offenses), was reset for Oct. 11.

Cory Steven Bohanan, charged with driving on a suspended license and violation of probation, was reset for Oct. 4.

Tiffany Ann Carpenter was appointed the public defender on a charge of driving while license suspended, assessed a $25 administrative fee, and the case was reset for Sept. 27.

Rena Nanette Clemmons had charges of driving on a revoked license (2nd offense), violation of the financial responsibility law and speeding (46/30) reset for Sept. 27.

Jeremy Brian Cope, charged with simple possession of marijuana, applied for judicial diversion and the case was reset for Oct. 4.

Brian Davis, charged with driving on a suspended license, was reset for Oct. 25.

James Cody Harris, charged with driving on a suspended license (5th offense) was dismissed by the state after he provided proof he had a valid license. A charge of violation of probation (failure to appear) was dismissed.

Tabitha Lynn Mayfield, charged with DUI 1st offense and  possession of drug paraphernalia, was appointed the public defender, assessed an administrative fee of $25, and reset for Nov. 8.

Joseph Michael Faulk, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, was appointed the public defender, assessed a $25 administrative fee, and reset for Oct. 25.

Coty Brandon Ferrell, charged with simple possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a revoked license (3rd offense), violation of the financial responsibility law and driving an unregistered vehicle, was appointed the public defender, assessed a $25 administative fee, and reset for Nov. 8.

James Jessie Ingram, charged with DUI 1st offense. was appointed the public defender, assessed a $25 administrative fee, and reset for Oct. 25.

Carl Alford McClure, charged with aggravated domestic assault, was appointed the public defender, assessed a $25 administrative fee, and reset for Oct. 11.

Doyle Edwin Mooneyham, charged with manufacture of methamphetamine, initiating the process to manufacture methamphetamine, maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of probation, 4th offense, two counts, was reset for Oct. 11.

Chadley Keith Odom, charged with driving on a suspended license, was reset for Oct. 25.

Alejandro Perez, charged with no driver’s license, was reset for Nov. 8.

James Christopher Shamlin, II, charged with driving on a suspended license and violation of probation, was reset for Nov. 29.

Amber Leann Terry, charged with speeding 28/15, no driver’s license and violation of the financial responsibility law, was reset for Nov. 29.
