Lions To Kick Off DTC TV Live Web Stream Select Games

ALEXANDRIA — DTC TV is proud to announce their plans to LIVE WEB STREAM selected area high school football games this season on WWW.MYDTC3.COM.

"We are proud to announce that DTC Sports will be back in action this year to televise and LIVE WEB STREAM select high school football games,” said Ricky Gibbs, for DTC Communications.

“We are in our third year of broadcasting local high school football. Each year we have tried to expand on the year before.  In year two we added instant replay and slow motion that was extremely popular with our viewers. In year three we are adding LIVE WEB STREAMING on our newly launched web page, WWW.MYDTC3.COM.

"We encourage everyone to go to the games and be part of the Friday Night Lights atmosphere, but for Alumni that don’t live here anymore or grandparents that live out of state, or for those that simply can’t make it to a game on a given night, sign on to WWW.MYDTC3.COMto hear and see the game. The schedule of select games can be found there as well.

"With our web stream, customers will have access not only to play-by-play from long time announcing duo Tom Duggin & Darvin Gill but will also have access to the instant replays and slow motion. We appreciate the coaches at each school working with us on this project.  It is our desire to bring additional exposure to these programs through the use of the live streaming technology.”

The football games will continue to be broadcast on a tape-delayed basis exclusively on myDTC3, the local television channel available to DTC TV customers.  myDTC3 televises many events of local interest, such as Chamber of Commerce Programs, spelling bees, pageants, parades, horse shows, and county fairs.  Additional local programming, in addition to high school football, is scheduled for the coming months.

DTC Sports will videotape a selected football game each Friday night during the season.  Playback of these games will take place on myDTC3 the following Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 7PM.

The local football telecasts will feature an on-site pre-game show, complete game action, a halftime show and a post-game show.  Players, coaches and fans will also be featured in interviews during the selected games.

Former WJLE sports director, Tom Duggin, will be back this year to handle the play-by-play duties for the telecast, while former WJLE play-by-play announcer and color analyst, Darvin Gill, also returns to provide game analysis.

Sports are such a huge part of these communities, and it’s a tremendous pleasure to be part of this endeavor,” Duggin said.

DTC’s regular season football broadcast schedule will kick off on Friday night, August 19th, with the Cannon County Lions visiting the Watertown Tigers.
