Lions Finish Second In Classic

The Cannon County High School baseball team hit the road this past weekend to play in the South Pittsburg Homerun Classic. The Lions played Huntland Thursday night and won 9-2; beat South Pittsburg 13-11 and lost to Grundy Co., 10-4, Friday night.

They played again Saturday and beat Covenant Christian 4-3 and then lost to Silverdale in the Championship game 6-5. They finished second in the tournament out of 10 teams.
