Lionettes Topple Tullahoma; Wildcats Wound Lions

TONY STINNETT, Courier Co-Editor

Abbey Sissom poured  in 23 points and Lindsey Reed scored 19 points and collected five steals as Cannon County turned back Tullahoma, 67-36, at Robert A. Harris Gymnasium Tuesday.

Joanna Young added a solid all-around game with six points, five rebounds and seven steals. The Lionettes collected 21 steals as a team as they remained undefeated after six games.

The Lions dropped a 60-39 decision to Tullahoma in the nightcap, though the game was much more competitive than the final score indicates.

Cory Henley led the Lions with 13 and Jarrett Melton added 10. Melton suffered a knee injury in the third quarter. He was able to return late in the fourth quarter but was hobbled. Melton's absence coincided with a game-changing run for the Wildcats.

A full report on each game will be available on CannonCourier.com and in the Dec. 6 print edition of The Cannon Courier.
