Lionettes Soccer To Play Smith At Watertown Tonight

Two wins per season has been the norm for the Cannon County Lionettes soccer team. This season however has been different though as the team has improved on the field and with the improvement have been able to put four wins on this year's schedule bested only in 2013 when they went 6-8.
Tonight they will be participating in the opening round of the District tournament hosted at Watertown High School as they meet the District regular season champs Smith County.
The Lady Owls went a perfect 8-0 in District play while the Lionettes finished 3-4-1. Watertown meets York Institute in the other game which serves as a semifinal game.
Cannon lost in competitive matches to Smith 3-0 in Woodbury and 4-0 in Carthage.
Game time will be at 7:00. The game will be audio broadcast live on Cannon Courier News and Events Facebook Page.
