The Cannon County Soccer team used stingy defense, crisp passing and timely scoring to roll to a 3-0 win against Jackson County (Sept. 9).
Casey Gunter supplied a hat trick, scoring all three goals for the Lionettes. She took a pass from Nina Walkup and powered it in for the final goal as Cannon County sealed the win. Emily Agee was outstanding in goal, coming up with four saves to curtail any hopes of a Jackson County comeback.
The Lionettes continue their season with games at York (Sept. 14) and at Livingston Academy (Sept. 16).
