License suspended two years after second DUI
Tuesday, September 25, 2012 2:33 pm Judge Susan Melton presided Sept. 18 over Cannon County General Sessions Court. Some of the various cases that appeared on the docket included: Jeffery H. Bean pled guilty to second offense of driving under the influence. He was sentenced to 11 months 29 days in jail. That sentence was partially suspended upon serving 45 days in jail and equal time on probation, as well as payment of $600 in fines and court fees. Melton also suspended his license for two years, as is stipulated under mandatory sentencing guidelines for such offenses. Verna I. Bean pled guilty to one count of public intoxication. Bean received 30-day sentence, which was suspended upon equal time on probation and payment of a $50 fine. Kimberly A. Besner pled guilty to violating her probation. Melton ordered Besner to serve an original sentence of 11 months and 29 days in jail. Tony Jo Cummings pled guilty to one count of driving on a revoked license. She was sentenced to 11 months 29 days in jail. That sentence was suspended upon equal time on probation, and she is also required to pay a $50 fine and court-related costs. Krysten J. Ghrist pled guilty to a public intoxication charge. Ghrist was sentence to 30 days in jail. That sentence was suspended upon equal time on probation and payment of court-related costs. Ira D. Hanes pled guilty to driving without a license. Hanes received a 30-day sentence, which was suspended upon equal time on probation, as well as paying court fees and a $2 fine. Justin J. Kirkpatrick pled guilty to two counts of driving on a suspended license. In each case, Kirkpatrick was sentenced to six months in jail. Those sentences were suspended upon equal time on probation, as well as payment of a $50 fine and fees. Melton also suspended his license for an additional year. Tequilla M. Miller pled guilty to one count of violating an order of protection. She was sentenced to 11 months 29 days in jail. That sentence was suspended upon equal time on probation and paying court fees. Jessica A. Padgett pled guilty to one count of driving on a suspended license. Padgett received a six-month suspended sentence upon equal time on probation and payment of a $50 fine, in addition to court fees. Melton also suspended her license for an additional year. Julie M. Sparkman pled guilty to one count of driving on a revoked license. She was sentenced to six months in jail. That sentence was suspended upon equal time on probation, losing her license for one year, and payment of court fees and a $50 fine. Jeremy D. Vanatta pled guilty to a third offense of driving on a suspended license. He was sentenced to 11 months 29 days in jail. That sentence was suspended upon equal time on probation, as well as paying court-related costs and fines. Melton also revoked his license. Robert M. Wimberly pled guilty under judicial diversion to one count of reckless endangerment. He was sentenced to 11 months 29 days in jail. That sentence was suspended upon equal time on probation, paying $525 in fines and court-related costs.
