An audience of around 30 friends and neighbors from DeKalb, Cannon, Rutherford, White, and Davidson counties attended the inaugural evening of Liberty Arts House Concerts on Friday, Jan. 28th.

Audrey Auld, folk singer-songwriter originally from Australia was the featured performer.

Auld held her listeners spellbound with stories of her homeland and songs about life and love and even her experience of pitching songs in Nashville. Afterwards, she commented on the night with, “...you and your crew have excelled at creating the coolest, warmest, most gorgeous venue in Tennessee! Can we keep it a secret?! I'm so honored to be part of your inaugural event.”

House concert organizers, Alison Harris and Taylor Pie provided refreshments and plan to offer another musical event on Saturday, Feb. 19th.

“Our event center in Liberty will be hosting at least one performance a month. The goal is to bring professional performance artists from musicians, to improv comedians, and even theater groups, into our community. These are 'suggested donation' evenings with all receipts going to the performers. We may also be open to renting our room to local groups for special events.”
