Letter: Thanks for food distribution

To Those Who Are Interested,

Thank you so much for helping to make the food distribution on July 27, 2013, a success. We provided 246 families with food. Without your help, we could not have reached so many.

The United Methodist Church, Woodbury, again has the opportunity to provide approximately 15,000 pounds of food for needy families in Cannon County on September 14, 2013, starting no later than 10:00 A.M.

There will be a tractor trailer full of food to be distributed on this second Saturday in September at the First United Methodist Church, 502 W. High Street in Woodbury. We will be using the adjacent parking lot at the First Baptist Church for distributing food. We will be limiting each car to enough food for two families so that those at the end of the line will receive more food.

We would like you to spread the word in your organization and with your neighbors so that those in need will be aware of this event. If you have any questions, or for further information, call United Methodist Church, Woodbury's at 563-2135.

Please also let your organization and neighbors know that the Cannon Outreach and Thrift Store is now open.

It is located at the corner of McCrary Street and Lester Street, next to the NAPA Auto Parts Store. The store features clothing, house wares, books, furniture, and VHS tapes at thrifty prices.

The hours are M-F 9 am-6 pm, and Sat. 9am - 3 pm. Proceeds are used to help support S.A.V.E. and the Cannon Food Back Pack Program (Blessings in a Backpack). The Cannon Outreach and Thrift store is also accepting donations of items. For further information, please call 542-2276.

Sincerely,

Erica Sanborn,

United Methodist Church, Woodbury
