Letter: Early voting underway

Staff

Voters of Cannon County:

I wanted to take this opportunity to remind all of you that early voting is now underway and will continue through May 1st, 2014 at the Cannon County Election Office.

For voting times you can visit the Election Commission website at cannoncountyelections.com or call 615-563-5650 Monday through Friday 8 am to 4 pm. I encourage everyone to make a difference by taking the opportunity to go by and early vote or vote on Election Day May 6th, 2014.

I would like to remind everyone that this is a Primary Election and it is very important that your vote be counted as there are two races that will be decided on May 6th, 2014 since there are no Democratic candidates.

The office of District Public Defender for both Cannon and Rutherford Counties has two candidates: Andy Brunelle and Gerald Melton.

The office of District Attorney for both Cannon and Rutherford Counties has two candidates:
Jennings Jones and Chuck Ward.

If you would like to vote for any of these candidates YOU MUST vote in this Primary Election. If you do not vote in this primary you will not have a voice in either of these two races.

Voting is a freedom that we have today in America because so many of our military men and women have fought to protect it during the last 238 years. Please honor them by casting your vote every chance you get.
Thank You,

Corey Davenport
Chairman
Cannon County Election Commission
