Mr. Larry Richards, 86, of Woodbury died October 24, 2011. He was born in Woodbury on March 12, 1925. His parents were the late Clyde E. Richards and Mary (Brevard) Richards. He was also preceded in death by his wife Mary Alice (Churchwell) Richards.
 
Survivors include his son, Greg and Carol Richards of Germantown, TN; daughters, Karen and Larry Tucker of Jefferson, GA and Julie and Russell Longcore of Marietta, GA; a brother, Dorris Brevard Richards of Portland, OR; grandsons, Jarrett Smith, Ben Richards and Joel Richards.
 
Mr. Richards was a member of Woodbury First Baptist Church. He graduated Woodbury Central High School in the Class of 1942. Following graduation he entered the U.S. Army serving with the veterans in CBI (China, Burma & India) during WWII.

He earned a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. He began working for the U.S. Treasury Dept. While working for the Treasury Dept. he earned his Law Degree. He retired from the Treasury Dept. with 28 years service.

He then opened a law practice in Woodbury with Richard Northcutt. They were later joined by Dale Peterson and Kyle Williams. Mr. Richards was also a Lion's Club member since 1976.
 
Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from 3-8 p.m. Graveside services will be on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery. Rev. Hunter Hay will officiate.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Woodbury First Baptist Church.
