Mr. Larry Ray Mitchell, Sr., 62, of McMinnville died June 18, 2012. He was born January 28, 1950 in Kenly, North Carolina. His parents were the late James Mitchell and Anne Mae (Jones) Mitchell. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Diane Mitchell and brother, Johnny R. Mitchell.

He is survived by his sons, Larry & Monica Mitchell, Jr. of Lascassas, James "Jamie" Mitchell of McMinnville; daughter, Angela and Jamie Ford of Woodbury; brothers, Barry and Sue Mitchell of Ivy Bluff and David Mitchell of North Carolina; sisters, Brenda Trail of Manchester, Barabara and Mack White of Boaz, AL, Kay and Dennis Harrington of Lewisburg, Mary and Joe Hinzman of Petersburg, also five grandchildren.

Mr. Mitchell attended the Trinity Baptist Church in McMinnville. He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his family.

Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home Tuesday, June 19, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Smith Funeral Home chapel. Interment will be in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. Smith Funeral Home (615) 563-5337
