NOTICE: Due to unforeseen circumstances the service tonight (Jan. 19) for Mr. Marx has been canceled until further notice.

Mr. Ken Marx, Sr., 74, of Woodbury died Jan. 17, 2011. He was born Mar. 8, 1936 in Buffalo, NY. His parents were the late Raymond Marx and Mildred (Hoos) Marx. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Paul Marx.

Survivors include his son & daughter-in-law, Kenneth & Charlotte Marx, Jr. of Woodbury; daughter, Lynn Marx of Amherst, NY; two brothers, Ronald Marx and Gary Marx both of Florida; three grandchildren, P.J. Marx & Kenneth Marx, III both of Cheektowaga, NY and Elizabeth Whaley of Columbia, TN and three great grandchildren.

Mr. Marx has been a resident of Cannon County for over 21 years. Prior to moving here he served in the National Guard. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. Mr. Marx worked for many years as a machinist. One of his favorite passtimes was wood working. He had built his own home and made many beautiful things such as hope chests, furniture, rocking horses, jewelry boxes and all kinds of wooden toys.

A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Woodbury on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 7  p.m..\ Bill Syester will officiate.
