Ken Beck to address Historical Society

Ken Beck will be the featured speaker at the Cannon County Historical Society's meeting Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Cannon County Senior Center, 609 Lehman St.

Beck is a well-known writer and regular contributor to the Cannon Courier and Murfreesboro Post. He has written several books of area interest and will have them available for sale.

"Ken's mother is the former Hazel Rogers who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.D. Rogers of Readyville. He has spent much time during his summer vacations, in earlier years, with his grandparents, uncles and aunts in Readyville. He and his family live in Watertown," said Joe Davenport, president.

"We will meet at 6:30 p.m. for snacks and refreshments. Bring your favorites," Davenport said.

"His presentation will deal with his appreciation of Cannon County and his memories of Readyville. He might even share some tales about 'Uncle Mark' and other family members," he continued. "We extend a warm welcome to all of the Rogers family."
