I, Karen Ashford, would like to announce my bid for reelection as the District 2 Commissioner.

I am proud to have been the District 2 Commisioner for the past eight years, a member of the Gassaway Volunteer Fire Department, dispatched for Cannon County 911 since 1999, driven a school bus for the past 19 years, and have helped organize the Gassaway Homecoming since 1992. I have been a resident of Cannon County since the age of five and graduated from Cannon County High Shcool.

Hershel Wade Ashford and I have been married for 42 years and together we have raised four children, Darrel Wade Ashford (deceased), Vallarie Kay Wommack, Hershel Dwayne Ashford and Cory Dereck Ashford. We also have four grandchildren.

I promise to continue to serve Cannon County to the best of my ability. I will always put the district’s best interest first and make Cannon County a more efficient place to live.

I would like to have another opportunity to serve my district. Thank you for your consideration and vote Karen Ashford for District 2 Commissioner.
