Tickets are still available for the United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties' Red, White and Blues event, held Saturday, July 14 at the home of Ronnie and Donna Barrett. The dinner is at 7 p.m. and a Patron's Party will be held inside the home at 5:30 p.m.

Red, White and Blues is United Way's signature fundraising event. This outdoors, casual dinner is reminiscent of the southern coastal areas and associated with the Fourth of July holiday. Five Senses Restaurant is set to cater this year's event.

Tickets are $75 each for dinner and the Patron's Party is $250 per couple which includes two dinner tickets. Reservations are requested by calling 615-893-7303 or visiting uwrutherford.org.

The United Way also is currently recruiting leaders among local employers to join its 2012 Loaned Executive team. The program, which offers employees growth and development opportunities, provides experience in project management, customer relationship management and communications, such as public speaking.
