Josh & Amanda Davis, proud owners of the Historic McKnight House, are excited to bring something new to Auburntown.

Imagine sitting on your favorite blanket watching a classic movie. Now imagine looking up and realizing you’re under the stars. There no need to imagine anymore.

Beginning on July 14th, and continuing the second Saturday of the seasonal months, the lawn of the mansion will turn into your own movie theater filled with classic, family friendly, Hollywood movies.

Everyone is invited to bring their favorite blanket or lawn chair and enjoy FREE classic movies, like “Fried Green Tomatoes” and “Driving Miss Daisy.”

Just Imagine That Catering & Events, Josh and Amanda’s catering business, will be running the concession stand, supplying you with burgers, hot dogs, popcorn, and all your movie munchies.

“We really wanted to create something fun and memorable for families to do that is affordable. Families can come enjoy the lawn of the mansion, have some great food, and enjoy the night,” says Josh.

Every night will be a double feature, come for one, or stay for both.

The Historic McKnight House will also show a double feature at the conclusion of Red Apple Days on the mansion lawn.

The Davis’ are thrilled about beginning Movies at the Mansion and hope that with this year’s success they can make it an annual event! What a better way to spend a summer night?
