Judge hears meth cases, probations



Judge Susan Melton presided over General Sessions Court on Tuesday. Some of the results of the various cases that appeared on the docket included:

Donnie Wayne Bailey pled guilty to possession of methamphetamine. He was sentenced to 11 months 29 days in jail. That sentence was suspended upon equal time on probation, paying a $750.00 fine and the costs.

Kimberly Nicole Blackwell pled guilty to driving on a suspended license. She was sentenced to 6 months in jail. That sentence was suspended upon equal time on probation, paying a$50.00 fine and the costs.

Steven Wayne Buse agreed to the violation of his probation. He was ordered to serve 60 days and his probation was extended 9 months 8 days. In another case Buse pled guilty to assault. He was sentenced to 11 months 29 days in jail. That sentence was suspended upon equal time on probation and paying the costs. In another case Buse pled guilty to driving on a suspended license. He was sentenced to 6 months in jail. That sentence was suspended upon equal time on probation and paying the costs.

Jeremy Cope entered a Nolo Contendere plea and was found guilty of attempted forgery. He was sentenced to 11 months 29 days in jail. That sentence was suspended upon equal time on probation, paying a $50.00 fine, restitution and the costs.

Elisabeth Ann Harris agreed to the violation of her probation. Her probation was extended 11 months 29 days. In another case Harris' judicial diversion was terminated and she was found guilty of domestic assault. She was sentenced to 11 months 29 days in jail. That sentence was suspended upon equal time on probation and paying the costs. In another case Harris' judicial diversion was terminated and she was found guilty of harassment. She was sentenced to 11 months 29 days in jail. That sentence was suspended upon equal time on probation and the costs.

Travis Dewayne Lowe pled guilty to possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to 11 months 29 days in jail. That sentence was partially suspended upon serving 30 days, equal time on probation, paying a $250.00 fine and the costs. In another case Lowe pled guilty to driving on a suspended license. He was sentenced to 11 months 29 days in jail. That sentence was partially suspended upon serving 30 days, equal time on probation, paying a $150.00 fine and the costs.

Isaac Markum pled guilty under judicial diversion to domestic assault. He was placed on probation for 11 months 29 days and ordered to pay the costs. In another case Markum pled guilty under judicial diversion to false imprisonment. He was placed on probation for 11 months 29 days and ordered to pay the costs.

Amber McTaggart pled guilty to driving while intoxicated. She was fined $250.00, ordered to pay the costs and lose her license.

Steven Cyle Medley pled guilty to 2 counts of attempted forgery. In each count he was sentenced to 11 months 29 days in jail. Those sentences were partially suspended upon serving 28 days, equal time on probation, paying restitution and the costs. In another case Medley pled guilty to 2 counts of theft under $500.00. In each count he was sentenced to 11 months 29 days in jail. Those sentences were suspended upon equal time on probation and the costs.

Robert Lloyd Lyle's charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to resale, possession of a schedule II drug, possession of a schedule VI drug with intent to resale, maintaining a dwelling for manufacturing drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia were bound over to the September term of the Grand Jury.
