Johnny "J.E." Johnson Sr.

Johnny "J.E." Johnson Sr., 86, of Smithville, died Monday, May 16, 2016, at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. Funeral services are set for Thursday, May 19 at 10 a.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home in Smithville with Bro. Bryan Jones officiating. Burial will follow at DeKalb Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is set for 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 18 and 8 a.m. until the time of the funeral Thursday, May 19 at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Childus Wright Johnson, his parents, Joe and Myrtle Pedigo Johnson and brothers, Glen and Cecil Johnson.

Survivors include three children: Edith McReynolds of Woodbury, Johnny Johnson Jr. (Cindy) of Spring Hill and Nathan Johnson (Tara) of Murfreesboro; nine grandchildren, Heather McReynolds of Birmingham, AL, Kayla McReynolds, Marshall McReynolds, Garrett McReynolds, Kristen McReynolds, Erin McReynolds, all of Woodbury, Asia Bailey, Kevin Bailey, Mia Ledbetter, all of Murfreesboro; two sisters, Winnie (Bill) Petty of Smithville and Rose Bratcher of McMinnville and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
