John C. Van Hooser, Jr., 70, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 22, 2013. He was born in Short Mountain, Tennessee, and moved to Brevard County, FL. in 1966.
John retired as an Electrical Engineer after 37 years with NASA. He was a member of North Courtenay Church of Christ.
John is survived by his wife of 49 years, Teresa Van Hooser; son Patrick Van Hooser (Rebecca) of Lusby, Maryland; grandsons John Austin Van Hooser and William Van Hooser.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, November 30, 2013, in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. David Tomley officiating. Interment will follow in Blues Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 1-9 p.m., Friday, November 29, 2013. For those wishing to do so, donations may be given to the Cannon County Historical Society, Woodbury, Tennessee.
