Jimmy Gayle Nichols

Jimmy Gayle Nichols, 71 , of Woodbury passed away Saturday, August 31, 2019 at his home. He was a native of Cannon Co.

He is survived by his children, Craig (Michelle) Nichols, Teresa (Anthony) Pirtle and Tracy Matthews all of Woodbury; grandchildren, Lindsay (Wesley) Alexander, Caleb Sissom, Madison Matthews, Hunter Matthews and Kelsie Nichols; Great Grandson, Avery Alexander; siblings, Margarita (Steve) Watts of Kittrell and Randy (Carolyn) of Murfreesboro.

He was preceded in death by his parents Dorris Lehman "Slick" Nichols and Johnnie Bell Davenport Nichols and his wife Linda Sue Bogle Nichols.

Gayle was a member of the Baptist Church and was retired from General Electric. He enjoyed fishing and coon hunting but most of all he loved being around his family and friends.

Funeral Services will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday September 4, 2019 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2019.
