Jennie Parton Lance, 89, died Monday, April 18, 2011 at Stones River Hospital E/R following an extended illness.

A resident of Woodbury, she was a native of Cannon County.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Janice Kaye and Hal Champion of Woodbury; four grandsons, Lance (Amberly) Champion of Knoxville, Jason (Rose) Champion of North Augusta, S.C., Steven (Kelli) Champion of Ardmore and Mark Champion of Woodbury; and one great granddaughter, Paige Champion of Knoxville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Stella Blanton Parton, her husband, James Lee Lance and her son, James Wendell Lance.

A member of Leoni Church of Christ, she was a housewife and a substitute teacher.

Funeral services will be at Leoni Church of Christ at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 22, 2011 with Bro. James Boyd officiating.

Burial will be in Leoni Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2011.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leoni Cemetery Trust Fund.
