Jean Richardson, age 79, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012. A native of Liberty, TN she was the daughter of the late Shelia H. and Vernie Lou Hale Parker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Richardson; son Shelie Eston Richardson; two brothers, Shelia Jr. and Jackie Parker; and brother-in-law, Clifton Ferrell.

Funeral Services will be Thursday at 12:00PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Dr. Mike Norris and Brother Don Morris will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Richardson is survived by her two daughters, Marcia Richardson of Christiana, and Sherry (Richard) York of Lascassas; grandson, Jacob York of Murfreesboro; brother, James (Catherine) Parker of Woodbury; sister, Jessie Mae Parker Ferrell of Woodbury; sister, Elizabeth Parker (David) Burnette of Readyville; sister, Billie (Glenn) Grizzle of Murfreesboro; brother, John (Edna) Parker of Liberty and Watertown; and sister, Joyce Parker (Jim) Speakman of Murfreesboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Richardson was a member of Franklin Road Baptist Church. As a child she attended and accepted Christ at Mt. Moriah Church. Mrs. Richardson was an avid gardner and enjoyed softball, sports and was a horse lover.  She also held a passion for needlework. She was retired from Chromalox and Alvin C. York VA Medical Center and her beloved yorkie Mollie.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Progressive Supranuclear Palsy at (Cure PSP 30 E. Padonia Road, Suite 201 Timonium, MD 21093).

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
