Jarrell Alvin Davenport

Jarrell Alvin Davenport, age 80, of Woodbury passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at St. Thomas Stones River Hospital E/R. He was a native of Cannon Co.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret A. Smotherman Davenport of Woodbury; Son, Cameron (Melissa) Jones of Woodbury; Granddaughter, Anna Belle (Devin) Sauls of Woodbury; Great Grandchild, Lexie Sauls; Siblings, Nonie Shelton & Robert (Gladys) Davenport, both of Woodbury; Nephews & Nieces, Wade (Bridgette) Davenport & Tammy (Donnie) Ivie; and Great Nephews & Nieces, Cody Davenport, Luke Dobson, Emily Ivie, Alexis Davenport, & Titus & Andrew Underwood.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Webb & Susie Mell Alexander Davenport; Brother, Wade Davenport; Sister, Debbie Grizzle; & Niece, Jennifer Underwood.

Mr. Davenport was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church and was retired from the United States Postal Service where he was a mail carrier from 1992-2010. He enjoyed working in his shop as a woodworker and he also served in the Army.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday, June 3, 2017 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Nichols officiating. Interment will follow at Reed Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 4 to 9 PM Friday, June 2, 2017 at the funeral home.
