Mrs. Janice Lee Young, 58, of Woodbury died November 16, 2012. She was born in Sparta, TN on July 23, 1954. She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years Walter Young, mother, Irene Dodson; son, Christopher Michael Mabe and a brother, Charles Lynn Dodson.
 
She is survived by her sons, Scottie & Amber Young and Brad Young both of Woodbury; father, Arnold Dodson of Smyrna; step-daughter, Jodi Barnett of Alabama; brothers, Walter Mabe of Smyrna, James Larry Mabe of Woodbury and Tom Dodson of Smyrna; sisters, Gail Murks of Murfreesboro and Rita Haynes of North Carolina; twelve grandchildren, David, Bradley, Dillon, Cheyenne, Charish, Jessica, Alexis, Nathan, Rachel, Summer, Shane and Haley.
 
Mrs. Young loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing with them. She liked to watch her kids and grandkids play softball and wrestle. Cooking her famous potato cakes and breakfast for dinner were family favorites. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
 
Visitation will be Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Smith Funeral Home from 2-8 PM. Funeral services will be Monday, November 19, 2012 at 11 AM in the Smith Funeral Home chapel. Rick McFerrin will officiate. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice by contacting Smith Funeral Home.
