PrintJames R. Harrison, 82, passed away Tues., March 25, 2014.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Harrison of Readyville; children, Marilyn Bennett Richard and Jay Harrison all of LaVergne; Stepchildren, Randy Davis of Murfreesboro and Wanda (Gary) Reed of Readyville; Siblings, David Harrison of Lavergne and Emma Murphy of Nashville. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buford Harrison & Myrtle Poteete Harrison; step-daughter, Betty Cox and his brothers, Charles & Lloyd Harrison.
A member of the Baptist church, he was a veteran of the Korean War where he served in the Navy. James was a mechanic, car salesman and owned and operated Smitty Auto Salvage in LaVergne.
Graveside services will be 10 am Thurs. at Roselawn Cemetery with Bro. Richard Radclift officiating. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, March 27 from 4 - 8 pm at Woodbury Funeral Home. 615-563-2311 or to leave condolences please visitwww.woodburyfuneralhome.net
