PrintJames Melton Simmons, 70, passed away Wednesday, 06/17/2015 at Vanderbilt Hospital following a sudden illness. He was a native of Cannon Co., Tn.
He is survived by his wife, Sharee Seiffert of Woodbury; Sister-in-law: Barbara Simmons of Woodbury; Nephews: Mike and Melvin Simmons of Woodbury; Friends: Brad Parker, Jimmy Simpson, Victor Haley & Dickie Bedwell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harrison & Rachel Barrett Simmons.
A member of the Cannon Co. Walking Horse Assoc., he worked from the age of 17 as a Butcher until he retired from Piggly Wiggly.
Graveside Services will be 4 pm Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Cherry Cemetery with Bro. Richard Haley officiating.
Visitation: 12 noon until 3:30 pm, Saturday, June 20, 2015
