James Lorne Tate



James Lorne Tate, 45, of Woodbury, died Thursday, December 30, 2010, at the DeKalb Community Hospital Emergency Room.

A self-employed builder, he was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be in the DeKalb Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Bro. Donald Owens and Bro. Mark Miller officiating. Visitation was on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Burial will be in Sycamore Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Drue Tate, and grandparents, Coval and Willie Tate and Cecil and Mary Lewis.

He is survived by his children, Adam Shoemake of Woodbury, Josh and Tori Tate of Smithville, Tristan Tate of Woodbury; grandchildren, Dakota and Maisie Shoemake; father, Bill and Carol Tate of Woodbury; sister, Tammy Tate of Michigan; nieces, Micaela and Emily Wood; companion, Niki Borham of Woodbury.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses.
