Jack Hopson Turney

Jack Hopson Turney, 98, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Woodbury Health Care Center. He was a native of Wilson Co., Tn.

He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Mabel Hawkins Turney of Auburntown; children, Roger (Shirley) Turney of Auburntown, Dennis (Sue) Turney of Cookeville, Jackie Sue (James) Waterfall of Nevada City, CA. and Kenneth (Scarlett) Turney of Murfreesboro; 14 Grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren also survive.

Mr. Turney was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Nannie Kennedy Turney; Brothers and Sisters, Hugh Turney, Jasper Turney, Ralph Turney, Ray Turney and Mary Patterson and Daughter-in-law, Lois Turney.

He was a member of the Auburn Church of Christ and automatic welder. Mr. Turney loved to garden and was an antique milk glass collector.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Auburn Church of Christ with Bro. David Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in the Prosperity Cemetery. Pallbearers includes Todd Turney, Cory Turney, Travis Turney, Scott Turney, Darrell Turney and Cole Turney.
