Mr. Irlee Goins, age 89 of Franklin, TN, died October 10, 2013. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and a well known painting contractor. He was preceded in death by first wife, Lena Mears Goins; second wife, Mildred Goins; son, Gail Goins; parents, Joe and Jimmie Goins; brothers, James, Bill, and Charles Goins; sister, Gertrude Bogle.
He is survived by grandchildren, Michael (Katsuko) Goins and Jimmie Joe Goins; great-grandchild, Derrik Goins; brothers, Farris (Dede) Goins and Wayne (Linda) Goins; sisters, Louise Simmons and Shirley Taylor; several nieces and nephews.
Gravside services were conducted 4 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2013, at the Magnolia Mausoleum in Williamson Memorial Gardens with Jim Taylor officiating. Family and friends served as pallbearers.
