International Folkfest Returns In June

The folk troupe of musicians and dancers from Curacao will be performing and eating lunch at the Cannon County Seniors Citizens on Wednesday, June 16.
International Folkfest, an annual event since 1982, returns to Middle Tennessee during June 13-20. Performing troupes from Italy, Curacao, and the Republic of Slovakia will join the host group, the Cripple Creek Cloggers, in performances throughout the area.

The major public performances will be on Monday, June 14, at 6:30 p.m., at the Centennial Park Bandshell in Nashville; on Wednesday, June 16, at 7 p.m., at Central Christian Church on E. Main STreet in Murfreesboro; on Thursday, June 17, at 6:30 p.m. at the Manchester Arts Center; on Friday, June 18, at 7 p.m. at the Patterson Park Theatre, in Murfreesboro; and on Saturday, June 19, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at Cannonsburgh Pioneer Village, in Murfreesboro.

The folk troupe of musicians and dancers from Curacao will be performing and eating lunch at the Cannon County Seniors Citizens on Wednesday, June 16, hosted by Director Connie Rigsby and her staff and patrons. They will be touring historic Cannon County that day as well.
