Illegal Alien Faces Aggravated Domestic Assault Charges



A man who had a hold placed on him by the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service following his arrest has been charged with two counts of aggravated domestic assault and one count of vandalism.

Eliazar Sanchez, 117 Mason St., Woodbury, was arrested following the August 7 incident by Woodbury Patrolman Brent Brock.

Sanchez allegedly struck one of the victims with a baseball bat and the other with his fist, bruising her chin. He also allegedly threw a microwave over on the floor of the residence, causing damage.

Total bond for Sanchez was set at $22,200. He was appointed the public defendant to represent him during Cannon County General Sessions Court on Tuesday, Aug. 9.

His next court date is set for Aug. 30, if he is not picked up and deported by the INS before then.
