Hylda Mae Burks Anderson

Hylda Mae Burks Anderson, age 74, of Murfreesboro passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 at Christian Care Center of Rutherford County. She was a native of Cannon Co.

Survivors include her sons, Jeff (Lynn) Duke of Readyville and Chris Anderson of Smyrna; Grandchildren, Josh (Jessie) Duke of Maryester, FL, Faith Duke of Murfreesboro, & J.R. Duke of Readyville; Great Grandchildren, Landon & Kinley Duke of Maryester, FL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Anderson; parents, Earl Burks, Sr. & Clara Simmons Burks; and siblings, Earl Burks, Jr. & Joyce Burks Trussel.

Ms. Anderson was a member of the Baptist church and worked in the Post Office at Middle Tennessee State University.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Friday, August 26, 2016 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. W. D. Thomson officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 4 to 8 PM Thursday, August 25 & 10 AM until time of service Friday, August 26 at the funeral home.
