Hugh Donald Ward, 79, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the Tennessee State Veterans' Home in Murfreesboro following an extended illness.

He was a native of Rutherford County, TN, and was a retired farmer and barber.

Survivors include his brother, James Robert "Evelyn" Ward of Lascassas; sister, Ann Ward Todd of Woodbury and two sisters-in-law, Faye and Janie Tassey.

Four nephews and two nieces also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Ruth Kelton Ward; his wife, Frances Tassey Ward and his sister, Evelyn Ward Moore.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2011 at Wards Grove Cemetery with Bruce Todd and Craig West officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Woodbury Funeral Home.
