Howard White Gunter,77, died Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Centennial Medical Center.  He was a native of Cannon County.

 He is survived by his wife, Mary W. Morris Gunter of Liberty; Children: Michelle (Keith) Slatton of Smithville and Stefan (Elizabeth) Gunter of Woodbury; Grandchildren:  Stoney Harmon, Crystal Schulz, Shiney Gibbs, Marianne & Will Gunter

Brothers: Dee (Wanda) Gunter of Readyville and Ralph (Janis) Gunter of Liberty. Several great grandchildren also survive.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Estes and Maggie Wray Ferrell Gunter; 2 children, Ethan Hans & Stasia Yvette Gunter and grandson, Rocky Harmon.

A member of the Gassaway Church of Christ, he was a carpenter.

 Funeral services will be held 12 noon Wed. Jan. 15, 2014 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Hancock officiating. Interment following in Gunter-Grizzle Cemetery. Pallbearers include Mark Duggin, Shawn Gunter, Bradley Gunter, Eric Gunter, Chris Alexander, Stoney Harmon.

Visitation with the family will be from  3:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tues., Jan. 14, 2014. For those wishing to do so, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, Gassaway Church of Christ or Gunter-Grizzle Cemetery.
