The Cannon County Historical Society meets Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 7 p.m.

The Historical Society schedules meetings throughout the year which are held at the Cannon County Senior Citizens facility at Woodbury. Refreshments start at 6:30 p.m. -- bring along a favorite dish. Look for the Cannon County Historical Society sign at the entrance.

Guest speaker for the November meeting will be 'Legal Professional and Deed Genealogist' Johnathon Fagan who will speak on his researches into the early community of Curlee on Brawley's Fork of Cannon County.

His studies revealed as well as confirmed many interesting details about early settlement patterns along the Upper East Fork Stones in pioneer days.

Utilizing advanced computer technologies such as Google Earth, he has identified many of the earliest settler land tracts such as Knox, Reed, McGill, Curlee, Roberts, Lassiter and others.

Bring along a friend as we continue to study Cannon County's unique history. Mark your calendars for this up-coming event.
