Hens Enjoy Doolittle Digs

Gloria Fisher sits with her granddaughter, Kinley Marie, on the front porch of The Hen House on Doolittle Road. Gloria's husband Darryl, who is director of maintenance for Cannon County, built The Hen House for his wife's chickens. “I wanted it to have a rustic look and be appealing to people as they drove by,” Darryl said. In addition to the windows and swing, the upscale chicken house also features a basket on the porch with handcarved wooden eggs.
