PrintHazel M. "Nannie" Melton, age 83, died Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Woodbury Health Care Center following an extended illness. Survivors include her children, William C. "Bill" (Mary) Melton, Gerald L. (Marcia) Melton, Sandra (Darrell) Barton, all of Woodbury, and Scott W. (Michelle) Melton of Marietta, GA; Sister, Dorothy (Jimmy D.) Reed of Woodbury; Sister-in-law, Garnett Campbell of Woodbury. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Ada Ferrell Campbell; husband, Bratten Melton; and siblings, Naomi (Claude) Goodwin, Ruby (Maurice) Langston, Dison (Willie Jane) Campbell, and Charlie Campbell.
Nannie was a member of Woodbury Church of Christ and owner and operator of Nannie's Daycare.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, April 4, 2016 at Riverside Gardens Cemetery with Bro. Herb Alsup officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM Monday, April 4, 2016 at the funeral home.
