Funeral services for Joe Harold Vinson, 82, will be held Sunday, July 10 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Richard Bray, Bro. Bobby Zumbro and Bro. Hunter Hay officiating.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery with Woodbury Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Vinson died Friday, July 8, 2011 at his home from an extended illness.

A native of Cannon County, he was preceded in death by his parents, Charley and Bessie Armstrong Vinson; his daughter, Donna Marie Snell; sister, Juanita Hancock and brothers, Cecil and Pete Vinson.

He was a farmer and retired from Colonial Corp. as plant manager. Mr. Vinson was a deacon at First Baptist Church and served in many aspects at the church.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Hazel Davenport Vinson of Woodbury; children, Marlene Vinson of
Murfreesboro, Teresa Vinson of Nashville and Joe and Lori Vinson of Murfressboro; grandchildren, Ashleigh Moses, Dustin and Bridget Snell, Molli Kate, Bryant, Seth and Leah Beth Vinson; great grandchildren, Tyler and Ava Moses; brother, Estes and Betty Vinson of Nashville; several nieces and nephews, special close friends of the family, Stacie Bryson, Lane Fancis, Michael and Trina Koltay.

Honorary pallearers were deacons of First Baptist Church.
