Habitat Build set for Stones River Mall

Stones River Mall invites local shoppers to "Kids Club: Habitat Build" from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, in the parking lot behind Shoe Carnival and Versona.

This event will be held in conjunction with Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity's Community Build, a day-long panel build sponsored by Exit Realty Bob Lamb & Associates. Kids Club participants can build wooden birdhouses and toolboxes while enjoying complimentary face painting and balloon art during this family-friendly event. In celebration of Earth Day, children can also plant a keepsake herb garden.

"We are thrilled to partner with such wonderful organizations to further support our local community," said Melinda Noblitt, Marketing & Events Manager for Stones River Mall. "We encourage families to Celebrate Earth Day with an afternoon of volunteering, enjoying Kids Club, and shopping with their favorite retailers."

Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity returns to Stones River Mall for a 2nd Annual Community Build with a new addition: Homes for Hounds, sponsored by The Taber Team of Exit Realty Bob Lamb & Associates. During the event, pet-loving volunteers will build wooden dog houses in support of Operation Education Animal Rescue. Community volunteers will build wall panels for a local Habitat for Humanity home beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 22.

The goal is to complete every wall panel in just five hours. For additional details about the Community Build, visit www.rchfh.org. Stones River Mall Kids Club provides engaging and educational events to elementary school-aged children and their families throughout the year. Events are free, and no registration is required.
