Grosch Seeks Sheriff’s Office

Grosch Seeks Sheriff’s Office
Background:

I am Howard “Mike” Grosch, born April 1965, parents Frank and Kathryn Grosch. I graduated Cannon County High School in 1983. I’ve been employed at Nissan of Smyrna since June 1989. I attend church on a regular basis and have been for the past 20 years.

My family includes my wife of 24 years, Jean Grosch formerly Ferrell whom attended Auburntown High School and is manager at All Things Possible, daughters Sharon Morton and Mary Hoover Graham, former teacher at Woodbury Grammar and now at Central View in White County, and son Samuel “Blake” Grosch, a former Marine.

Experience:

I have been on several patrols with law enforcement agencies. I have completed Murfreesboro Citizens Police Academy. I have coordinated plans with other law enforcement agencies to assist with the transition into the duties of the Sheriff’s Office. I plan to attend the Police Academy once elected and will require all deputies to attend as well.

Ideas to improve the Sheriff’s department:

1: I want to reinforce “Protect and Serve”, with an emphasis on serve to create a better network of communication between the department and the community.

2: I will create a new standard operating procedure that divides Cannon County into patrol zones, so officers in zones can familiarize themselves and make better relations with people in their zones increasing visibility of officers and detouring crime.

3: I want to make the Sheriff’s department more accountable for its actions and hold the department and its officers to higher standards, instilling the even when they are off duty; they represent the law 24/7.

4: I want to make the Sheriff’s office more accessible to the public and their concerns.

If elected, I will not ask the deputies to do anything I myself would not do. I am open to suggestions and many more thoughts as how to better our country. I am willing to listen to anyone and do anything to better understand the concerns and ideals of the community. My email is howardgrosch@yahoo.com and my phone number is (615)563-4433.

Inexperience doesn’t cause complacency, but leads to self-improvement for the greater good. My inexperience with not hinder my effectiveness, but will motivate me to better our community and myself.

I live in Bradyville.
