Friday marked the regular meeting of the Cannon County Grand Jury. Those persons indicted during Friday’s session include:

Dennis Ray Curtis for driving under the influence, violation of the implied consent law, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia,

Mary Virginia Hill for attempted 1st degree murder, especially aggravated robbery, aggravated arson, and aggravated burglary,

Charlotte Hill for attempted 1st degree murder, especially aggravated robbery, aggravated arson, and aggravated burglary,

James W. Hill for attempted 1st degree murder, especially aggravated robbery, aggravated arson, aggravated burglary, escape, and theft of property,

Mary E. Carmack for burglary of a vehicle, theft of property, vandalism, and false statement,

Timothy D. Richards for reckless driving, reckless endangerment with a weapon, theft of property, evading arrest with an auto and evading arrest,

Tammy R. Southers for driving while license suspended and possession of a legend drug,

Timothy Ryan Lawson for initiation of the process to manufacture methamphetamine, manufacture of methamphetamine, and maintaining a dwelling,

John B. Carter for driving while license suspended, carrying a weapon, possession of a schedule II drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, promotion of manufacture of methamphetamine, and possession of a schedule IV drug.

Audria L. Estes for possession of a schedule II drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, promotion of manufacture of methamphetamine, and possession of a schedule IV drug,

Brian N. Wells for promotion of manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of a schedule II drug, and possession of drug paraphernalia,

Robert M. Scott for promotion of manufacture of methamphetamine,

Jacqueline L. Barrett for promotion of manufacture of methamphetamine,

Cynthia D. Thomas for promotion of manufacture of methamphetamine, driving while license suspended, and theft of merchandise,

Dianna L. French for attempted aggravated child neglect (4 counts),

Matthew A. Baker for aggravated burglary and theft of property,

Susan A. Blair for false report (2 counts),

Joey L. Mooneyham for theft of property,

Dillon Collette for possession of marijuana,

Barry W. Bynum for domestic assault and resisting arrest,

Johnny Nathaniel Mitchell for possession of methamphetamine,

Bobby Wayne Pinegar, Jr. for aggravated burglary and theft of property.

In addition to the above indictments, the Grand Jury also returned four sealed indictments. The names of those defendants will not be released until they are arrested.

The Cannon Courier must stress that an indictment by the Grand Jury is not a finding of guilt. It simply means the Grand Jury believes there is enough evidence to move the case forward for trial.
