Glyndon Rogers Merritt

Glyndon Rogers Merritt, 85, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at his home in Readyville.  He was a native of Old Hickory, Tn. 

He is suvived by 3 Children: Cindy Tucker, Gary (Debbie) Merritt and David Merritt all of Readyville;Grandchildren:  Jason Merritt, Ashley Henderson and Kelly (Justin) Nichols and 9 Great Grandchildren also survive.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo Steve Merritt, Sr. and Lela Mae Garrett Merritt; his wife, Dorothy Louise Riley Merritt; his son, Roger Dale Merritt and his daughter-in-law, Betty Merritt.

A member of the Church of Christ, Mr. Merritt was a Maintenance Supervisor and a veteran of the Marine Corp.  He was a member of the Sr. Center of Murfreesboro, the Old Hickory Bunch and the Gold Wing Club.

A private memorial service will be held.
