Like a fine-tuned machine, Cannon County’s girls are clicking on all cylinders early in the season.

The Lionettes (2-0) were dominant in a 79-25 win against Marion County at Robert A. Harris Gymnasium Saturday (Nov. 17).

All-State guard Abbey Sissom poured in 25 points on 10-of-13 shooting, dished out four assists and added two steals in less than one half of action.

Rebekah Faulkner came through with her first career double double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Faulkner was 7-of-9 from the field.

Abby Jakes added 14 points, three assists and three steals, while Madison Walkup finished with eight points.

The Lionettes shot 50 percent (31-of-62) from the field, including 7-of-18 (39 percent) from 3-point range.

Cannon County vaulted to a 56-15 halftime lead and never looked back on its way to the easy win.
