Mrs. Frances "Fran" Bugg, 78, of Bradyville passed away on October 26, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born on January 1, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan. Her parents were the late Houston Murphy and Margaret (Bryant) Murphy. She was also preceded in death by a son, Matthew Bugg and two brothers, Arthur Murphy and Houston Murphy.

Mrs. Bugg is survived by her husband of over 53 years, Al Bugg, Sr. of Bradyville; a son and daughter-in-law, Al, Jr. and Kathy Bugg of Bradyville; two brothers, Morley and Patrick; three sisters, Nora, Betty and Margie; also, by eight grandchildren, Kathryn, David, Christine, Zachariah, Amanda, Nathan, Benjamin and Jonathan.

Mrs. Bugg grew up in Michigan. She met her future husband Al, Sr. when he moved from Woodbury to find work in Michigan. She was a former employee of General Motors. Mrs. Bugg later owned and operated the Child's Circle Nursery School in Michigan for about 19 years. She moved back to Tennessee about twenty five years ago. Her most important work was as a wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Bugg was devoted to her family and church. She and Mr. Bugg were interested in raising their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. They were members of the Smith Grove Church of Christ where her son, Al, Jr. is the minister.

Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 4-6 PM. Funeral services will follow the visitation in the Smith Funeral Home chapel. Al Bugg, Jr. will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are requested to the Smith Grove Church of Christ Children's Library or the Woodbury Day School.
