Cannon County football players are gearing up for the 2012 season, which begins at home against Watertown, Aug. 17.
Players have been going through conditioning and attending various camps. Some of the players attended a camp at UT-Martin last week. Skill players were in 7-on-7 at Tennessee Tech Saturday.
Players can’t don full pads until July 30.
“I’m pleased with our conditioning, our work ethic and our attitude to this opint,” Lions first-year Head Coach Brent Bush said. “We have work to do but I’m real pleased with what we have been able to do. The players are making adjustments well.”
The Lions will focus on special teams work this week.
Fans are invited to attend an Ice Cream Social and Meet & Greet for the football team Sunday, July 29, from 2-4 p.m. at the CCHS Football Field House.
