Floyd Thomas Rich, 72, died Thursday, October 27, 2011 at his home in Marietta, GA from a long battle with cancer.

Thomas was born in Cannon Co., and raised in Woodbury. He was a retired truck driver with Yellow Freight Systems. He loved to garden, fish and farm. Thomas was most proud of his son, T.J. and truly enjoyed the many years spent watching him play baseball. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Woodbury.

Survivors:

Mother: Christine Rich of Woodbury

Wife: Mary Jo Rich of Marietta                        

Son: T.J. (Thomas Joseph) Rich of Marietta  

Brothers: Donald (Ella) Rich of Smithville, Robert (Wanda) Rich of McMinnville, Jerry (Nell) Rich of Knoxville, Larry (Joan) Rich of Woodbury

Granddaughters: Ashley (Brandon) Ross and Jessica Jenkins

5 Great Grandchildren, and a large family of aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive

He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. F.L. Rich and his daughter, Tammy Ann Rich.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at: 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Nov. 2, 2011 with Bro. Thurman Seber and Bro. Hunter Hay officiating.

Burial will be in Riverside Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
