Five Plead Guilty In Circuit Court



Judge Don R. Ash accepted several guilty pleas Thursday, July 7 in Cannon County Circuit Court.

• Tony Lynn McPeak pled guilty to a charge of attempted failure to register as a sex offender. He was given a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days in the Cannon County Jail and placed on probation for a period of 8 months, 29 days. He was also fined $350. McPeak also pled guilty to a charge of theft under $500. He received a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and was placed on probation for an equal amount of time. He was also ordered to pay $1,200 restitution.

• Michael Muncy pled guilty to a charge of simple possession of marijuana. He was given judicial diversion, placed on probation for 11 months, 29 days, and fined $250.

• Dustin St. John pled guilty to a charge of promotion of methamphetamine. He was sentenced to serve two years in the Tennessee Department of Corrections as a Range1, 30 percent offender, fined $3,000, rendered infamous, and ordered to provide a DNA sample. St. John also pled guilty to simple possession of methamphetamine. He was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in the county jail and fined $250. He also pled guilty to a charge of evading arrest and was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in the county jail and a charge of criminal impersonation, to which he was sentenced to serve six months. All sentences will run concurrent.

• Johnny Lyons, Jr. pled guilty to charges of possession of cocaine and possession of a handgun by a felon. On the cocaine charge, Lyons was sentenced to six years in the Tennessee Department of Corrections and a standard Range I, 30 percent offender and placed under the supervision of Community Corrections for an equal amount of time. He was also fined $2,000. He was sentenced to two years on the handgun charge and placed on Community Corrections for an equal amount of time. The sentences will run concurrent.

• Ashley Davidson had a cocaine possession charge retired for 12 months subject to good and lawful behavior. She was also ordered to pay court costs.

• Terry Scott Austin had a charge of assault retired for 12 months subject to good and lawful behavior.

• Charles T. Grizzle withdrew his motion for a furlough.

• Barry Spurlock and Christina Kelley were reset for Aug. 4.
