Five Cases Sent To May Grand Jury Session



Judge Susan Melton presided over Cannon County General Sessions Court on Tuesday. Some of the results from the various cases which appeared on the docket included:

Amanda Charlene Barrett was bound over to the May, 2010 term of the Cannon County Grand Jury. She is charged with maintaining a dwelling to keep, use or sell schedule drugs, initiating the process to manufacture methamphetamine, manufacture of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine for resale.

Robert Alan Deffendoll was bound over to the May, 2010 term of the Cannon County Grand Jury. He is charged with burglary, criminal trespassing and theft over $500.00.

Camren Deffendoll was bound over to the May, 2010 term of the Cannon County Grand Jury. He is charged with burglary, criminal trespassing and theft over $500.00.

Jonathan W. Johnson was bound over to the May, 2010 term of the Cannon County Grand Jury. He is charged with aggravated burglary and theft of property.

Misty Nanessa Rutledge was bound over to the May, 2010 term of the Cannon County Grand Jury. She is charged with promotion of the manufacture of methamphetamine.

Floyd Alan Campbell pled guilty to the charge of simple possession of schedule 3 drugs. He was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in the county jail. That sentence was suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, paying a $750.00 fine and paying the court costs. In another case, Campbell pled guilty to the charge of simple possession of a schedule 2 drug. He was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in the county jail. That sentence was suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, paying a $750.00 fine and paying the court costs.

James A. Speed pled guilty to the charge of driving under the influence 2nd offense. He was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in the county jail. That sentence was partially suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, serving 45 days in jail, paying a $600.00 fine and paying the court costs. In addition, his driver’s license was revoked for 2 years.

Michael Shane McClure pled guilty to the charge of violation of probation. His probation was revoked and he was ordered to serve his entire sentence.

James E. Rollins pled guilty to the charge of driving while license revoked. He was sentenced to 6 months in the county jail. That sentence was suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, paying a $50.00 fine and paying the court costs.

Steven Carl Miller pled guilty to the charge of driving while license revoked 2nd offense. He was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in the county jail. That sentence was suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, paying a $50.00 fine and paying the court costs.

Bobby Chad Bailey pled guilty to the charge of violation of probation. His probation was revoked and he was ordered to serve his entire sentence.

Bobby Eugene Davenport pled guilty to the charge of violation of probation. His probation was revoked and he was ordered to serve his entire sentence.

Michael Ray Blaylock pled guilty to the charge of driving while license suspended. He was sentenced to 6 months in the county jail. That sentence was suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, paying a $50.00 fine and paying the court costs.

Nicholas Adams pled guilty to the charge of violation of probation. His probation was revoked and he was ordered to serve his entire sentence.

Donnie Stevens pled guilty to the charge of passing a worthless check. He was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in the county jail. That sentence was partially suspended upon an equal amount of time on supervised probation, paying the checks and service charges and paying the court costs.

Billy Ray Carmack pled guilty to the charge of domestic assault. He was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in the county jail. That sentence was suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation and paying the court costs.

Walter Bess pled guilty to the charge of theft under $500.00. He was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in the county jail. That sentence was suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, paying a $100.00 fine and paying the court costs. In another case, Bess pled guilty to the charge of driving on a revoked license. He was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in the county jail. That sentence was suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, paying a $100.00 fine and paying the court costs.
