Eva Jean Stacey Potter, age 81, of Woodbury passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016 at St. Thomas Stones River E/R. She was a native of Cannon County.

Survivors include her children, Ronald Dale (Sherrie) Merriman of Alabama and Donna Michele Merriman of Woodbury; Grandchildren, Mark Christopher (Billie) Merriman of Centertown, Danny Lee (Jessica) Merriman, Jr. of Murfreesboro, Jequita (Everett, Sr.) Gilbert of Murfreesboro, and Amanda Dawn (Jeff) Hewitt of Plant City, FL; Brothers, Clyde Ray Stacey and James Stacey, both of Bradyville; and Sisters, Viva (Norman) Meddars of Trustville, AL, Alice Parker of Murfreesboro, Ruby (Nick) Best of Murfreesboro, and Sally Cantrell of Smithville.

12 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Abe & Cassie Simmons Stacey; Husbands, Earnest Merriman, Jr. & Azel William "Bill" Potter; and Son, Danny Lee Merriman.

Ms. Potter was a member of the Dillon Street Baptist Church and was retired from Quality Control at McMinnville Garment Company.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Saturday, October 8, 2016 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Patrick, Pastor Richard Haley, & Bro. Carl Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5 PM to 9 PM Friday, October 7 and 11 AM to 1 PM Saturday, October 8 at the funeral home.
